Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer, best recognized for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she launched her acting career on stage as part of Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. After that, she performed in a variety of Broadway shows before becoming one of the biggest stars on the national stage along with Li'l abner in 1957. In the year 1957, she made her debut album called It's time for Tina. Louise's first venture into Hollywood was in the role of Griselda on God's Little Acre, a 1958 film. The film garnered wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. In that time, she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Her next memorable role came from 1964, when she signed with CBS to portray Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was able to do a fantastic task of switching between Broadway as well as Hollywood. She played somber as well as contrasting characters from the glamour doll image she was portrayed as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also played SG-1 on the show and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. Since her debut, she's been a renowned director of TV shows that are popular, like Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex on August 28, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto at the age of 3 and she continued to live there throughout the majority of her childhood and teenage years. They settled her in Vancouver following her selection for the role of Samantha Carter.
