Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor born January 31, 1974. She's best known for her role as Bo in the Showcase TV show Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. She is the daughter of Peter who is a professor, and Ilkay Silk, a prominent actor, director, producer, playwright and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers some of her earliest memories of childhood, like attending rehearsals and watching of plays. Silk was a small actress in commercials. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Arts at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least two early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto, Canada in November of 1999 in order to pursue her acting. She then relocated in Los Angeles California during the following decade. Seth Cooperman is her future partner, which she was introduced to in Los Angeles at an Actors workshop. The couple was engaged in 2009 before getting married at the civil ceremony on December. Silk announced on Twitter on June 20, 2013 that production was underway for Season 4. On 4 June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed that production had begun for Season 4, which will air in the fourth season. The CNN Cable News Network named her portrayal of Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples among their top TV Couples. E! named them as the most popular TV Couple in 2013.
